I’ve always wondered about the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, but the Hanging Gardens of Babylon were the most interesting to me.

The Hanging Gardens of Babylon are said to be built by King Nebuchadnezzar, who ruled over Babylon for 43 years starting in 605 BC. They were built to cheer up Nebuchadnezzar’s homesick wife, Amyitis. Amyitis was the daughter of the king of the Medes, she had married Nebuchadnezzar to create alliance between the nations. She came from a place with green, mountainous, rugged terrain and move to an area of very flat and hot land so she could be with her husband, but she grew very depressed. The king decided to build a huge building with rooftop gardens so she would feel more at home.

Another theory is that the gardens were built 300 miles away in Nineveh, Babylon’s greatest enemy, by the great Assyrian ruler Sennacherib.

I came across an animal

On the way to school

His tail was very long

And his ears were very tall

I hid him in my back pack

So that teacher would not see

He stayed there very quietly

Until frightened by a tree

It was hot

like a batch of cookies

just taken out of the oven

“Baseball season has started up,”

bellowed the ump,

as my team and I

took the field

I was on the mound

ready to go as many innings

as possible

Little did I know

the ump was as bad

as a rotten tomato

The game was over

man we stunk

we lost seven to ten

in the end

It’s alright, it’s ok,

we’ll beat them next time

anyway

Without taste it would be rough. I mean just think how many different things you put into your mouth. It would stink not to taste it. You’d never be able to taste a Juicy’s hamburger or pizza. That’s a lot to miss out on.

I mean every body would tell me how it tasted but that just sucks all the fun out of it. Just think you eat THREE meals a day not counting snacks! It would stink not to be able to taste my moms cooking.

I also wouldn’t be able to taste slushes, soft drinks, or Sonic Java Chillers! That’s no fun.

Chick-fil-a is my favorite place to eat. I couldn’t go without it. I eat there at least two times a week! I love my chicken sandwiches; there the best.

I’ve said it once before and I’ll say it again it would be rough without taste my friend.
